Haguenau Indoor Skatepark, France

Am Sonntag war ich in Haguenau in Frankreich (die Grenze ist nur 15 Minuten von hier). Dort gibt es seit dem 23.03.2010 einen indoor skatepark mit einem Bowl, gebaut von Vertical, Tiefe zwischen 1,80 und 2,40 Meter .
I was in Haguenau, France on Sunday (the border is just 15 minutes away). There is a new indoor skatepark with a bowl built by Vertical since March 23, 2010. It is beetween 1,80 and 2,40 meters deep.

Der Bowl ist eher eine verschobene Miniramp mit Corners und Extentions, aber  dafür indoor und nur 50 Minuten von hier. Sehr stabil gebaut wie gewohnt von Vertical, grippy und schnell, das coping noch nicht verwachst. Ich hab noch nicht ganz kapiert wie ich auf die hohen Stellen mit genug speed zufahren soll um oben was zu machen. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal.

The bowl is more like a shifted miniramp with corners and extentions, but just 50 minutes from my home. Built very strong like Vertical always does, grippy and fast, the coping is not waxed (yet). I have not yet figured out how to reach the top parts of the extentions with enough speed. Maybe next time.

Der Boden ist sehr schnell und griffig. Die Streetarea war ein Zoo am Sonntag, 1.000.000 kids auf Inlineskates, BMX Bikes und Scootern. Grausam.

Irgendwie wirkt das Ganze etwas zurückgeblieben, hinterwäldlerisch. Man hat irgendwie das Gefühl, die Locals wissen noch gar nicht recht was sie damit anfangen sollen was sie da haben.  Die ganze Zeit über war ein Securityguard am Start, man darf keine Tasche mit rein nehmen und es ist Helmpflicht (letzeres finde ich gut)

The floor is very fast and grippy. The streetarea was a zoo on Sunday. 1.000.000 kids on inline skates, BMX Bikes and scooters. Somehow the whole thing seems retarded, remote. I had the feeling the locals don´t know what to do with it yet and don´t really know what they have got there. There was a security guard there all the time, you are not allowed to take a bag in there and helmets are mandatory (which I totally support)
