In dem Jahr in dem ich 50 Jahre alt werde.

Als dieses Photo vor 37 Jahren aufgenommen wurde, hätte ich nie gedacht, mit 50 noch skaten zu können. Es gab ja auch niemanden der einem vorgemacht hätte, dass das geht.

This is the year I will turn 50.
When this pohto was taken 37 years ago I could not imagine to be skating at 50 years old.
There was no one to show that it was possible

 

Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich heute noch in tiefe Betonlöcher starren werde und dieses Gefühl im Bauch spüren kann, kurz vor dem drop in. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich einmal einen Internetblog machen würde, in dem ich das alles dokumentiere, und jeder auf der Welt, der sich dafür interessiert, das sehen kann.

I could not imagine that I will be staring into deep concrete holes like this to this day and still be able get that feeling just before dropping in. I could not imagine to run an internet blog to document all this and that everyone who is interested can check it out.
